A bayside suburb located about 26 kilometres east of the Brisbane CBD in the Redland Shire, Wellington Point is one of the older suburbs of Brisbane. The area boasts houses dating back to the 1800s including Wheystead Manor on Main Road.

Like other bayside suburbs of Brisbane, Wellington Point has seen an increase in both popularity and property prices over the past five years with the suburb having recorded excellent price growth. 

Development in the waterfront suburb has been strong since the re-introduction of the passenger rail service to the suburb in the 1980s.
