North Beach is a solid, well-settled beachside suburb about 16km north-west of Perth’s CBD.
Unfortunately, the beach itself is studded with limestone outcrops and rocks which tend to turn off swimmers and surfers.
The locals much prefer the beaches to the south and toddle off down to Trigg Beach and neighbouring Scarborough.

About 5km north of North Beach is the big Hillarys Boat Harbour development which, apart from having all the facilities desired by the most demanding boaties, is home to Underwater World.
