Property Management Bullsbrook - Perth - Suburb Profile
A Great Northern Highway town about 54km north of Perth near the junction of the Swan and Avon rivers, Bullsbrook is accessible from the city through the delightful Swan Valley - the Barossa of the West whose potential as a top-line farming area was first recognised in 1827 by explorer Captain James Stirling.
Of course, the valley’s reputation today as a producer of the finest wines is testament to Stirling’s judgement.
Host to the Pearce RAAF Station, Bullsbrook is within easy driving distance of the Avon Valley and Walyunga national parks, the former straddling the Avon River and the latter, the Swan River.
Walyunga National Park contains one of the largest known Aboriginal campsites around Perth and was still in use by the Nyoongar people late last century.
Archaeological evidence suggests that the area has been used by regional tribes for more than 6,000 years.
A 1.2-kilometre Aboriginal Heritage Trail meanders along the river bank, between Walyunga Pool and Boogarup Pool, and allows people to learn about Aboriginal myths and legends and see the park's plants and animals through the eyes of the original inhabitants
