History:
Banyo and its area were first developed as part of the Nudgee region. However, by the ealy 1900s, the growth of the area necessitated the separation of Banyo from local Nudgee, which was finalized in 1910. Throughout the 1920s-1940s the area continued steady growth, with a number of churches, schools and stores springing up to match the needs of the increasing population.
